Since the provincial government does not have jurisdiction over fishing, the waters of Race Rocks and some other marine ecological reserves are protected by the Federal government’s Rockfish Conservation Area strategy. This program prevents fishing in the reserve. The problem is that it may not be permanent, so continued protection of all of the organisms

An interesting Document on a land title search. As of 1989, David Spector states” It is unlikely that further land title research will determine whether the Province of BC or the Federal Government possesses a clear title to Trial Island. A legal opinion is perhaps needed. Ed note: The Ecological reserve was established in 1990, so
