On Dec 7 and 8, 2022 Steven Bercek of BC Parks hosted meetings online with the Kootenay and the Okanagan area’s volunteer wardens. There were also a good number of BC Parks staff in attendance at each meeting. We hope that other areas in the BC parks system may in the future hold similar wardens

Rick Van Ee has made this map of the trip through Cougar Canyon that he and Roseanne did in March 2009.
Access to the reserve was again intermittent due to periods when work at the gravel pit kept staff too busy to unlock the gate. The following visits were made :3rd May – Access not obtained.20th June – The area around the last lake at the south end was checked with no evidence of disturbance seen.A
