Mayer Lake of Haida Gwaii is the largest lake in the Naikoon Provincial Park (located south-west corner of the park, http://tinyurl.com/dxlhenf) on Graham Island near both the Tlell and Port Clements areas. Provincial Museum and UBC field parties conducted bird and mammal investigations in Barkley Sound from 1954 to 1970 inclusive. 55 of approx. 55 islands,islets and reefs were visited.
