March 11/18 12:45-1:45. 5°C. Sunny. Wind SE approximately 10km/h, gusting stronger. Lake frozen except for NE edge.

Birds: PYNU, WBNU, NOFL, AMRO, DEJU, HAWO.
No plants found in bloom.
Sign pullout: Broken branches, litter, garbage.
SE corner:  Flooded; water up one-third of S side fence.
S pullout: several trees down, some on the fence. Took photos.

April 26/18. 9:15-10:15. 12°C. Strong SE wind.
Birds: AMRO, RCKI, PYNU, YRWA, BUFF, VESP, REDH, KILL, TOSO, AMCO, RUDU, PBGR, CAGO, WBNU, MALL, RWBL, RNDU

Plants in bloom: Balsamorhiza sagittata, Ranunculus glaberrimus, Mertensia longiflora, Dodecatheon pulchellum, Lomatium triternatum, Lithophragma parviflorum,

No water was running from Mt. Hawthorne this year

August 29/18. 10:08 – 10:52. 19°C.  Cloudy. Wind calm.

Birds: MALL, AMCO, RUDU, PBGR, SPSA,
AMGO, PYNU, NOFL,
N side: signs of bear foraging in the ground.

Sign pullout: sign obscured by tall white sweet clover; garbage, beer cans. ER sign needs replacing.
S end: heavy growth of reeds.

September 23/18. Took photos from pins. Met Terry McIntosh (UBC) and Jamie Fenneman at S pullout; they were looking for unusual plants.
