Introduction. At the invitation from Elphinstone Logging Focus (ELF) Society*, I joined Mr. Ross Muirhead on August 11 to examine Rubus nivalis (Snow Bramble) at a proposed BCTS cutblock (on RF030) at Mt. Elphinstone. While in the area, we also examined another location (BR03) where Rubus nivalis has been previously documented. (See location map next page.)

(*Elphinstone Logging Focus is a non-profit environmental group “providing information to the public on proposed logging in important forest lands” in order to conserve ecosystems and support tourism and recreation www.loggingfocus.org).
