Parks staff visit Canoe Islets Ecological Reserve

On July 11, 2014, Roger Allen ( warden) and BC Parks Staff  Trudy Chatwin and Hugh McDonald with Darrian (student at UVIC ),  visited Canoe Islets Ecological Reserve.

Canoe Islet:

No Pelagic Cormorants or Double-crested Cormorants,

Bald Eagle -1,

Black Oystercatchers  – 4,

Surfbirds – 7,

Ruddy Turnstone – 1,

Black Turnstones – 5,

Glaucous-winged Gull – 10 (1 Empty Nest).
